Daisy's. Gerbera daisy's come in all different colors or the traditional Shasta Daisy. They are pretty and easy and recognizable. Plus she can pick them whenever she wants and they will grow back all summer long.

Marigolds are easy to grow, and they help keep bugs away naturally. Just poke the seed into the hole, cover it with dirt, and water it.

good luck with the garden!!

marigolds! they are sooo very easy. no fertilizer required, just an occasional watering, but they are somewhat drought resistant. the only maintenance they require is to deadhead about once a week or so to keep them blooming.

your daughter will have more fun with her own garden. be sure to buy her her very own little watering can.

I think you have already have instructions i.e "Daisy's. Gerbera daisy's come in all different colors or the traditional Shasta Daisy." They are so tempting and wonderful that they will make your garden a colorful heaven.

i agree that daisies are an easy and fun flower to grow! you also mentioned carrots - have you thought about growing potatoes? they are easy to grow and so much fun for kids to dig up (like buried treasure)!
