O.K. I have a huge problem with decorating my living room. It is about 16X20 and has 18 ft ceilings. The focal point wall has a bookcase/TV that is 10ft long. Above the bookcase is two large pieces of art that my kids created with a local artist (4X6 each). The wall to the left (of the bookcase) is a large 12ft window that is 2 stories high and arched at the top. The wall to the right is about 12ft because it has the staircase coming off of it. There is an "overlook" balcony above the living room. The walls are a tan color. The couch is olive and the overstuffed chair is plaid. The artwork ties all colors together. The problem is that all the walls are so high and I definitely lack with accessorizing! I want a clean/contemporary look and it seems to be too casual. Any ideas?
