How do i seperate an open space?
Hi,
my partner and i are looking at ways to separate a lounge room from the rest of the living area, the whoe space is completely open with an L shaped sort of bollard on the roof which distinctively highlights the lounge room area.
Our delema is that whenever we go to watch tv or want to use the airconditioner we have to shut nearly the whole house up and even then we are airconditioning a space around 170m2
my idea was to attach a track or rail to the ceiling on the bottom of the bollard and build a cupboard (which doubles as a bookcase on one or both sides) which opens up and hides curtains that would run along the track, thus enabling us to effectivley "seal" the area when being airconditioned and also cutting out unwanted light on the LCD screen.
my partner hates the idea of a big ugly track running through the middle of her nice white bollard / roof feature. but i am unable to think of any other way to cordon of the area without placing attachmets into the floor or being left with free standing screens which would only look odd and be in the way when not in use.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to section off square area (only need to section off two sides whilst also keeping the area looking artistic amd asthetically pleasing to the eyes?
