the kitchen everyone is always in there ....you prepare meals,eat,have coffe,do homework ect in there its the heart of the home

Total cornflakes is right. the thing in the kitchen and bathrooms are where the real cost comes in.

It depends on what your purpose is. If you are doing it for yourself, do the rooms that please you best. Bathrooms and kitchens have the best return on investment. If it is a new house, bath and kitchen's need the least decorating. Living rooms and bedrooms need new (or new to you) furniture and accessories.
