What is the industry standard program for architecture? Is it still AutoCad? I'm looking for a program that will let me design the interior and exterior of homes, as well as get blueprints from it. Currently I use the Better Homes and Gardens program just to play around with, but I've also used Maya and 3DSM, so I do have a grasp on the more "complex" programs. Cost really isn't an issue! I'm just trying to find the best program available for what I'm trying to do without having to resort to 4 different programs and then mesh it all together! Thanks!!

AutoCAD is still being used, but it is not as popular as it once was. It is not very good for 3D development, either. Revit is being used by more and more firms. It is much better for 3D design, and it is very easy to use. Sketch-up is also a fairly common 3D program that is less technical. You can get free trials of both on line to try out.

Currently it's either AutoCAD Architecture or Revit (from the same company who makes AC). Revit is oriented towards 3D drafting, AutoCAD is an all-around tool.
