Do plants and trees have feelings?
Just wanted others opinions on this. I actually know they do, and was involved in a tussle with a vegan who berated me for eating meat, so I smiled and said killing a plant and devouring it's flesh is just as bad then I guess. My grandfather was a naturalist and taught me many things about nature. Like how trees sense the rain and turn their leaves before a storm, when you see squrriels get ready for winter, and that kind of thing.
I never said human emotions. I don't believe humans are the only things in the universe that have the capacity to feel. Nor do I believe that a brain is necessary to facilitate emotion. emotion is the creation between the observer and the body. it is a chemical reaction, which can exist in any form of life. I guess I should have said Are plants empathic. I do agree, plants are not like us, and yet, they are...you wouldn't believe the kind of similarities that trees and human beings have. I have hugged allot of trees 8). And know that trees do have more then just the instinctual influence on nature. It's the skin of the earth. And it's all alive. Do I know animals have feelings. Well yea.....I eat plants and animals, and thank them all very much for feeding me.
