Default Can I legally go out in to national parks and plant a bunch of trees?

I'm wondering if there would be any legal obstacles to doing this. Thanks
OK, maybe I should clarify--for some reason people seem to assume I would be planting non native species.--I want to plant nothing but home grown trees that are native to my area which is the northwest. So the issue of "contamination" is not an issue.
And Jim, I'm sure you'd like to believe your tax money goes to such a noble cause, but somehow I doubt the government spends a single penny on ensuring that no foreign plants are planted; nice thought tho; maybe you should write and propose the tax to your local representative.

No. You cant plant trees or release your pets. For the same reasons. They don't belong there. Trees that are not endemic or native are not wanted. Your trees may carry disease or insect pest. I personally would not want you to. My tax dollars go the ensure that American National Parks will be keep free of exotic species.

However, you can volunteer to help them plant trees. You can join an Arbor Fountain group.

I thinl they try to keep the varieties of trees in those parks limited to ones that are locally-appropriate and non-invasive and that will fit with the varieties that are there already. If you know how to follow those rules you should have no problem. If you don't know what you are doing you and your trees will be unwelcome (and the trees should not be put there anyway).
