Default Planting a really unboring flower bed?

would it be a good idea to have like these big spring-loaded flowers that shoot up out of the dirt if someone is trying to hijack your trellace or somehting... and maybe add some ZING to it by igniting the flowers by dousing them in petrol and have the shoot up via a spring through a flaming hoop of death?
