It is worth something to the earth! Leave it be!The tree deserves respect and what ever your reasons are for cutting it down can't surpass the value of it's age.

I love trees...and pecans. I wish you didn't want to or have to remove it, but anyway. From what I understand, pecan wood is expensive! Call an extensive office, lumber company or agricultural department, or even Lowes or 84 Lumber to find the going rate for it. Because, if you just go to a sawmill, you may get cheated with out having adequate info.

I hope you have some really great plan to warrant cutting down a historic and I'm sure beautiful tree in your yard. If I had a 200 year old tree in my yard I would make a plan to include the tree and probably have the tree as the major focal point. I'm not a tree hugger but 200 years old...???????? come on.. it deserves to stand.

NOOOO! Don't cut it down, please! If it bothers you so much, don't look at it! Please, please, please leave that poor tree where it belongs! How would you like it if someone decided to cut you down? DON'T CUT THAT TREE!
