Default wall paper glue removal?

i recently decided to remove the wall paper boarder in my kitchen and so far it's not coming off. i've tried DIF and no luck with it, also tried vinegar and water and still no luck. the glue is like a hard rubbery texture that it just can't be scraped! what do i do? any helpfull hints???
