I dont want to make unnecessary holes or try to hammer a nail into brick whic could cause some crumbling and not secure the nail well, pleade advise

You can find "brick" hangers at most hardware stores. They look like really large "clips" that you put over a brick in the mix. It has a "hanger hook" on it. You position one or two, depending on the weight, on bricks and then hang it.

No fuss no muss.

If you use a masonry drill bit, you can drill a small hole in either the brick or the morter between bricks. Then, use an expansion type screw, but it needs to be one with a plastic sleeve you drive in then put the corresponding screw into the plastic, leaving a bit out for your hang wire. When removing, you can find a way to patch the hole. If in the brick, fill with wood putty and put a dab of matching paint on it and then scruff it up a bit. If morter, simply mix a small batch and patch if you remove the screw. The sleeve stays in.
