good idea but will that be too much blue in kitchen or why not paint the kitchen teal and trim it in white..

You might try a much less concentrated color of the same shade. A really pale teal would work.

According to sherwin williams' suggested coordinating color scheme, "buoyant blue" is a compliment to "tantalizing teal." If you don't want the teal to be that bright, I think that the "buoyant blue" would still look good with another shade, like "really teal."
