Fireplace is much more romantic but it is not a good idea in a semi-detached house..

Default Re: Central Heat or Fireplace?

Woodstove not fireplace. Or a gas fireplace or a zero-clearance fireplace. Traditional fireplace does not heat the room, it rather draws out the hot air in the room.
