Default Barn Renovation Questions

I live in northern Alberta (cold!!!) and I am renovating a Hip Roof Barn. The Bottom is all 2x6 construction sheeted and covered with shiplap. The Loft is 2x4 construction with shiplap only. I would like to cut 3/8 OSB into 24 inch wide pieces to fit between the studs using Construction adhesive, then strapping 2x6 to the 2x4 wall studs. Does this sound reasonable. I do not want to sheet the top, as it would leave the ridge from the sheeting unless I re-sheet the whole thing which I think would be a waste of money. Any ideas or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks
